Principal

Mrs. Beena L.S. joined as Principal of Central Polytechnic College, Thiruvananthapuram, on ../../2024. She completed her degree in Computer Engineering with distinction in 1991. She worked as an apprentice trainee at FACT. The following year, she joined Sree Narayana Guru Institute of Technology in Madhukkara, Coimbatore, as an Associate Lecturer, and later served as the Head of Department (HOD). 1995 onwards, she was placed as an Assistant Manager at Neyveli Lignite Corporation. Her journey with the Department of Technical Education, Kerala, began in 1999 in this very same polytechnic when she was appointed Lecturer in Post Diploma in Computer Applications. She later served as HOD at GPT Neyyattinkara, GPT Muttom, GPT Nedumangaud, GPT Kaduthuruthy and MVGM GPT Vennikulam. Additionally, she worked as Assistant Controller of Technical Examinations.

Alongside her service, Mrs. Beena L.S. made efforts to advance her education and earned an MTech, PGDOM from IGNOU, a degree in Theology, and a Post Diploma in Counseling Psychology.

Her vision is to mould responsible technocrats with curiosity, hands-on learning, informed decision-making, synergy, entrepreneurial spirit and ethical, sustainable practices.
